What is an Educational Presenter?

An educational presenter is someone who understands not only how to educate children but, also how to entertain them at the same time. Children like to actively participate. By combining visual, audile, and kinesthetic approaches children will remember what they learned for much longer. Making it fun and entertaining helps them keep an interest in what they are learning. Combining story telling, puppetry, comedy, magic, music and child participation into one program with an educational message will have the children wanting to learn more.

Greg Zelnik
Educational Presenter

Greg Zelnik has put together presentations that are pertinent to the students, introduces or reinforces integrated concepts, inspires independent learning is based on factual information and are important subjects among educators. These programs are humorous, engaging, magical, and educational. They not only bring to life the lessons to be learned, they also teach children the many opportunities in the library and the value of reading.

Greg has been entertaining since he was a young child. He has experience in theatre, music performance and magic. He has been the President of the local International Brotherhood of Magicians and the United Magicians Association

Julian Franklin
Educational Presenter, Consultant

Julian began performing magic shows and puppet shows at a very early age. While teaching (8 years in the private sector and 8 years as a public school teacher in Texas) he continued his performing in faculty plays and as a semi-professional dancer with The Woodlands Civic Ballet. It wasn’t until 2001 that he decided to combine his love of performing with his passion for education and thus Julian Franklin Productions was born.

Julian is a very successful Educational Entertainment Specials located in Houston, Texas. He is the author of “Kid Control.” Julian has also been brought in as a consultant. With his years of experience as a teacher and a presenter he is a great asset to this team.

Audrey Gore
School Teacher, Educational  Advisor

Audrey received her masters in Education from John Carrol University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a full-time English Language Arts and Religion Sixth Grade Teacher and Assistant Cross-Country Coach with the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools System. She is licensed as a North Carolina teacher in grades K-6 in all areas, and in 6-9 in Social Studies and English Language Arts. Audrey assists in researching the educational aspects of the programs as well ensuring that each program is age and grade level appropriate, provide a framework that the teachers can hang other lessons on and are important subjects among educators.

Monica Zelnik
School Teacher, Proof Reader, Educational Advisor

Monica received her Bachelors of Science from Cleveland State University.  She worked in the cooporate world for several years as an Environmental consultant.  Now Monica is teaching Earth Science and Oceanography at Charlotte Catholic High School.

Monica assists in reviewing each program as well as providing input and constructive criticism.  She also is an under paid proof reader (she gets paid with hugs, kisses and thank yous) and is vital part of the team.

Trevor and Melissa Zeleznik
Puppet Trainers, Professional Magical Assistants

With seven different puppets to keep in line, Melissa and Trevor make sure that each puppet knows how to talk and helps rehearse their lines.  Just as any animal trainer enjoy working with animals, Melissa and Trevor enjoy working with the puppets.

Every time a new program is written, it needs to be rehearsed and tested.  Trevor and Melissa ensure that the students are going to understand the material and laugh in the right places.  In addition, Trevor and Melissa serve as magical assistants in rehearsal as well as many of the public performances.
