Staying Positive Made Easy

Recently I have been writing a lot about staying positive.  It is something that I think can make a big difference in our everyday lives, but is also something that does not necessarily come easily.

Today I would like to share some ideas that you can use to help make having a positive attitude easier.  These ideas are both from reading and my personal experience.  I hope that they will help you.  Having a positive attitude can and will have an effect on those you come in contact with.

First and probably most important is getting enough sleep.  We have all been there.  When we do not get enough sleep everything gets harder.  Many times we get edgy.  We are more likely to snap at people than if we had enough sleep.  We get lazier because we are tired.  Yes sometimes having a positive attitude takes effort.  When we are tired many times we just don’t feel like making the effort.

Secondly is getting some form of exercise.  I know from personal experience when I have gone long periods of time without exercising, I start to feel sluggish.  Whether you want to believe it or not, how you feel physically can affect your mental attitude.  It has been tested and proven.  We can all make excuses on why not to exercise but exercise is the key to felling better about ourselves and having a good attitude.

Third and lastly is healthy eating.  I have felt that I have had a pretty healthy diet.  Recently my eyes were opened when I went on the 17 day diet.  I am not necessarily promoting the 17 day diet but I found out how much diet can affect everything from energy levels to increasing our metabolism.  Getting away from a lot of sugar and refined carbs and eating more vegetables than I have ever eaten gave me more energy and just a good feeling.  I lost more weight from the diet than I did from exercise.  Having more energy will also help with having a positive attitude.

So there you have it, three things that you can do that will make having a good attitude much easier.  Not only that but the health benefits will also have you feeling better about yourself which will in turn also help you with maintaining a positive attitude.

Until next time keep smiling and have a great day!
